How It All Began

The Whitehouse hotel story is an interesting one. Not only does it demonstrate the acute vision – and keen business acumen - of its owner, it also reveals the fact that the “brand” enjoys a wide appeal to various audiences.

Austin Eruotor (”President” and CEO/owner) started out in events and entertainment business by offering nite club/bar and restaurant services within the Ikeja business area, from the 1st October 2004.

Over the course of 3 years subsequently, he and key members of his closely knit team (comprising soft spoken Damola Taiwo, Wakeel “Wikky” Usman), were courted by a wide variety of event organisers, artistes (music, Nollywood etc), business enthusiasts, meeting organisers, religious organisations, training providers, and others.

Expanding From Club To Hotel

Over the years, the Whitehouse team maintained its established links with individuals and group/organisation patrons. In 2007, Austin and his team leveraged on that elaborate customer base to expand into hotel services provision, as a logical extension from the preliminary events and entertainment focus.

1. This began with the opening of Whitehouse 1 at 23A Toyin Street, converting the existing facilities carried over from night clubbing, to provide bedding and other hotel services, while retaining the events hosting function.

2. By late 2009, a new branch – Whitehouse 2 opened in the prime/exclusive Ikeja G.R.A on 31 Joel Ogunnaike Street, offering even more sophisticated facilities to appeal to the needs of corporate business executive types, prepared to pay more to get premium service in quiet comfort and convenience.
